1.   Please tell us about what your company or organization does
  Make My Business Go Green is a blog about going green in business. We break down the truth behind the confusion and the media hype. We focus on helping people find new, inexpensive ways to integrate sustainability into their businesses
2.   Tell us something about your company and your efforts to go green and be sustainable:
  It started with plastic grocery bags. I'm still getting better at bringing my own and I now recycle any plastic bags I use. Going green is a process and sometimes a slow one. I want to encourange others to join me on this adventure.
3.   Our recycling program consists of:
  We encourage recycling of all paper, post-it notes, envelopes, junk mail, newspaper, plastics, bottles, cans, electronic equipment and biodegradable (compostable) materials
4.   We purchase recycled products:
  Paper with at least 30% post-consumer recycle stock:  I'm using up all the old paper before I shift to 100% recycled paper.
5.   We regulate the temperature in our business by:
  Using a programmable thermostat

10.   We are making efforts to be a paperless office (all documents are stored on a computer):  Not all documents are stored on a computer yet but 80% are and the rest soon will be.
11.   We turn off all computers and monitors at night which saves 4 gallons of oil per year per computer.
12.   Our computers go into standby mode after 1 hour of nonuse.
13.   We encourage our staff to avoid printing emails
14.   We do most customer business (registration, invoicing, contracts, etc.) over the phone, web site or through email.
15.   We avoid using .doc and other large file formats and convert all web based documents to .PDF file format.
16.   Our web site is designed to be fast loading by limiting the size of graphics and image files.
17.   We do not use Flash on our site or our Flash uses Vector graphics, text and limited size of bitmap image files.
18.   Our site is simple with minimal graphics.
19.   Our web site hosting company is green and eco-friendly:  We host our own sites on our own virtual servers
